Common Reasons to request a Medical Certificate Online

Many common conditions, such as viral infections, the common cold, usual migraines, period pain, gastro, and exhaustion/stress are often cited as reasons for requesting a medical certificate online. These conditions typically do not require any specific treatment beyond rest and hydration at home. So, It makes more sense to use your sick day as a rest or recharge day, rather than waiting in a doctor's office just to get a medical certificate that can be obtained online through NextClinic.

The key benefits of online medical certificates are convenience, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

When In-Person Medical Certificates Are Necessary

While online medical certificates offer great convenience, some situations still require an in-person consultation. For serious conditions that require a physical examination, seeing a doctor in person is essential for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment. NextClinic doctors may reject your certificate request if it is deemed clinically inappropriate, ensuring your safety.

Backdated Medical Certificates

NextClinic cannot backdate medical certificates under any circumstances. However, our two-day medical certificate can cover yesterday if you are still unwell with the same condition and require two days off to recover. These medical certificates are not technically considered backdated medical certificates.
